Symposium Materials Technology 2025
The program is online!
On February 20 and 21, 2025, the Clausthal Center for Materials Engineering will host the 6th Materials Engineering Symposium in the Aula Academica and other lecture halls at Clausthal University of Technology.
Participants can expect an exciting program with over 60 contributions. Both days will open with a keynote lecture. Prof. Uwe Wolfram from the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering at Clausthal University of Technology will kick things off. There he holds the professorship for digitalization in materials science and engineering. On day two, we will be welcoming Dr. Julia Meese-Marktscheffel from H.C. Starck Tungsten Powders. She will be speaking on the topic of recycling black mass from lithium-ion batteries. Further topics and projects will be on display as part of a poster exhibition in the plenum of the auditorium.
We were able to win Vince Ebert as a guest for the evening lecture. The physicist is known as an author and cabaret artist. His aim is to use the laws of humor to convey scientific and social contexts. For many years, he was on the trail of everyday phenomena large and small for ARD shortly before the Tagesschau in "Wissen vor acht - Werkstatt".
As always, the evening event at the end of the first day will be a highlight. The scientific discussion can be deepened and contacts made over food and drinks. The beer will come from the TU Clausthal research brewery.
