Summary
The Clausthal Center for Materials Technology (CZM), an interdisciplinary research institution at Clausthal University of Technology, reports on current topics and trends in the fields of materials development, the processing of materials using modern manufacturing processes and process chains as well as their property analysis in the series "Progress reports on materials research and materials technology". The first edition of the publication series summarizes the contributions of the "1st Lower Saxony Symposium on Materials Technology", which was held in February 2015 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld on the campus of Clausthal University of Technology.
Participants were offered a high-quality scientific program with over 50 presentations from various specialist areas. This platform for exchanging ideas on research topics with an interdisciplinary character involving partners from the fields of natural sciences and engineering will be organized by CZM every two years in future.
