The CZM uses the electronic laboratory notebook elabFTW for the structured storage of research data. It is a web-based, free program developed by the Curie Institute in France. It allows, among other things, the creation of devices (under specification of specific procedural instructions, configurations, parameters, etc.), samples, working groups, publications or research projects. Experiments carried out are linked to the aforementioned categories and the raw data generated by assigning a specific ID and saving relevant experiment/sample parameters. The latter are stored and unchangeable on the transfer drives of the computer center. In principle, all DFG requirements for adequate research data management can be implemented in this way.
