Cooperation Kamax
The TU Clausthal cooperates with the automotive supplier KAMAX in research, development and teaching in the field of materials, production and manufacturing technology.
Information about KAMAX:
1. the KAMAX Group employs around 3,500 people at twelve locations worldwide. Group sales reached € 787 million in 2018. For over 80 years, the core business has been the development and production of high-strength fasteners and complex cold-formed parts for the global automotive industry.
2. the KAMAX Group has its headquarters in Homberg (Ohm). In addition to the group's management company (KAMAX Holding), a central company for sales, purchasing and development (KAMAX Automotive), a company for the development and manufacture of tools and production equipment (KAMAX Tools & Equipment), the German production company is also headquartered there. This has sites in Homberg (Ohm) and Alsfeld in the Central Hesse region. Another production plant is located in Osterode (Harz).
3. the KAMAX group is in constant growth, especially internationally. A new plant has just recently started production in León, Mexico. The company is now represented in America, Asia and Europe with ten production sites.
